Wise Wizard Games launches Kickstarter preview for KAPOW!, the super-powered Buildable Dice game!

November 7, 2020 – Sudbury, MA – Wise Wizard Games LLC, the makers of Star Realms, today officially launched the KAPOW!, the super-powered Buildable Dice game Kickstarter Preview Page along with the “Be A Hero” campaign. As part of the “Be A Hero” campaign, the company has committed to donate a game to children’s charity for each sign-up on their KAPOW! Kickstarter Preview Page up to their goal of 5,000 games. No purchase necessary, just click “Notify Me” to get an alert when the KAPOW! Kickstarter goes live, and WWG will donate a game, up to 5,000 games this holiday season.
KAPOW! uses Buildable Dice, allowing you to add and remove dice faces during the course of battle. This makes for a super-strategic dice-battling experience. With each roll, you decide how to attack, defend, and power up your character by choosing where to place your dice. The battles get more explosive with each roll and as you gain more dice and dice faces. KAPOW! is simple to learn (roll and place), but has layers of strategy as you customize your dice pool and leverage the unique powers of the KAPOW! universe’s super-powered heroes and villains. KAPOW! is a 2-player game that can be expanded to 3 or 4 players.
The original KAPOW! was published in 2019 by 2 Ton Porcupine, won the Dice Tower Seal of Approval and was named in Tom’s Vasel Top Ten 2-Player Games of 2019. We met the team from 2 Ton Porcupine at the Boston Festival of Indie Games, and fell in love with the game. We are thrilled to launch the second edition of KAPOW! Volume 1 along with an all-new Volume 2 on Kickstarter. The KAPOW! design team did an amazing job creating an incredibly fun game. Working closely with the original designers, Doug, Larry and Carl, we set out to make KAPOW! even better in the second edition. Backers will be able to select either Volume 1 or Volume 2 as standalone 2-player games, or they can select the Team-Up Tier for 2-4 player gameplay.
The Team-Up Tier Includes:
KAPOW! Volume 1, KAPOW! Volume 2, a Kickstarter-Exclusive Hero, a Kickstarter-Exclusive Villain, a Kickstarter-Exclusive Mega-Villain plus ALL stretch goals!
- KAPOW! Volume 1 and Volume 2 each have the dice, score dials, and boards you need for epic 1-vs-1 battles. Together they provide everything you need to play 2, 3, or 4 player games!
- Volume 1 comes with 6 Supers; Tough Nut, Elusivity, and Time Out are the Heroes and Victor Kane, Coquette, and Spoiler Alert are the Villains.
- Volume 2 comes with 6 Supers; Spore, Crescendo, and Mindset are the Heroes and 235, Reverb, and Fuse are the Villains.
