Wise Wizard Games Announces the Next Two Titles in the Wacky Wizard Games Lineup
A Charming Strategy Game About Packing Cats, Pack the Essentials, Releases Today!
Sudbury, MA – January 28, 2025 – Wise Wizard Games is thrilled to announce the next two additions to the family-friendly Wacky Wizard Games lineup: Pack the Essentials, which launches in retail stores today, and Push Push Penguin, coming March 25, 2025. These games continue our mission to bring joy and connection to families and friends through memorable, accessible gameplay experiences.

- Pack the Essentials – Available Today
- Designed by Jacqueline Atkins Verges, this light strategy game has players drafting and fitting polyomino cat, clothing, and essential tiles into their suitcase to pack efficiently and win. With its charming theme and clever gameplay, it’s perfect for game nights with family or friends.
- “I am thrilled to have worked with Wacky Wizard Games to bring Pack the Essentials to life,” said Jacqueline Atkins Verges. “It has been pawsitively amazing to work with a team who share my love of our furry friends. I am so happy that Leyla’s memory will always live on in the first ever game I designed and I cannot thank everyone involved in this project enough for making that happen. - Push Push Penguin – Coming March 25, 2025
- Designed by David Gordon, TAM, and Christopher Chan, this fast-paced family game features adorable penguins racing across slippery ice. Players will roll dice, slide penguins down icy paths, grab snacks, and push their opponents to victory (or out of the way!). The charming artwork by Christopher Chan brings this frosty adventure to life.

- Released in 2024, this award-winning game is a two-player introduction to deckbuilding for younger players, with simplified mechanics, no reading required, and a focus on fun over math. It’s the perfect gateway into the world of strategy games for families.
- “Making Star Realms Academy was so much fun,” said Rob Dougherty, game designer and CEO of Wise Wizard Games. “We wanted a game that kids could enjoy with their families while keeping it engaging for adults. By adding cute art, simplifying the rules, and using tokens and boards to make everything easy to track, we think we nailed it.”
- Caution Signs
- This quick-sketch party game, designed by Danielle Reynolds and Scott Brady, has players guessing the funniest meanings behind absurd warning signs. It’s laugh-out-loud fun for groups of all sizes and ages, and it’s already earned critical acclaim for its creativity and hilarity.
- “I thought up Caution Signs when I saw some very unusual caution signs in Hawaii and immediately asked Scott Brady to work on it,” said Danielle Reynolds, co-designer of Caution Signs. “The game was so fun from the first playtest that the playtesters requested the prototype. I love hearing about how much players are loving playing it over and over!”
